Privacy
No ads and no ad-tracking. We don't set cookies, and we never sell or share your data. To see what's working we use Vercel's privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics — anonymous, aggregate page views and a small set of product events, with no IP address, no personal data, and nothing that can identify you or follow you across sites.
What we measure
Our principle: a small set of anonymous, cookieless product events — never identity, never cross-site. The complete list:
- Aggregate, anonymous page views (which pages are read), via Vercel Web Analytics.
- An email-signup event when you join the list, and a contact-form event that records only the message topic — never your email address or message text.
- A view event when someone reads our polling methodology, and one when someone reads the race-ratings page.
- An export event when a data table is downloaded — recording only the format (CSV or JSON) and which dataset, never the data or anything about you.
- A click event when a state is selected on the interactive map — recording only which state.
- Anonymous feature-usage events: which race dashboard was viewed, which learn guide was read, and whether the turnout simulator was used — never any of your inputs or anything about you.
That's the whole list. If we add an event, it will follow the same rule — anonymous feature usage only — and we'll list it here.
What we don't do
- No advertising and no advertising or cross-site trackers.
- No cookies and no browser storage for analytics.
- No IP addresses or personal data stored; the visitor signal is discarded after 24 hours.
- No third-party data brokers, and we never sell or share your data.
If you join the list, we store your email address only to send the occasional update, and you can unsubscribe from any email we send. We don't use it for anything else.
